Mediterránea la naviera de Formentera S.L. is the reference name in the commercial maritime transport sector between the Pitiusas (Ibiza and Formentera). Founded in the year 2000, as a result of the commitment acquired by several generations of local shipowners and the experience accumulated over the years, in 2022 it became part of the IMG Group (Insotel Marine Group), under the Formentera Lines brand.

The Posidonia oceanica is a marine plant that forms meadows between the surface and 40 meters deep in high-quality waters such as those of Formentera. It is an endemic species of the Mediterranean and, since 1999, the meadow of the Salinas de Ibiza and Formentera Natural Park was declared a World Heritage Site.
The Posidonia represents one of the most important natural values of Formentera, since it exerts an important function in the filtration of the sediments, thus giving a unique transparency. It also contributes to maintaining the quality and oxygenation of the underwater ecosystem.
The prairie of the Natural Park of Las Salinas de Ibiza and Formentera, with almost 8,000 hectares and 100,000 years old, was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1999.
Today it is in danger of extinction.

Formentera Lines offers you a unique experience: visit the authentic craft markets of Formentera.
There are several markets where you can buy all kinds of local handicrafts: clothing, jewelry, ceramic, leather and glass work, and in some you can even enjoy live music.
FERRY+BUS
FORMENTERA LINES offers the Tourist Circuit Bus, to enjoy the most famous beaches of Formentera. On your arrival in Formentera you will find the bus stop just behind the disembarkation area of La Savina ferry station.
The "Blue Route" will allow you to visit the beaches of Ses Illetes and Es Pujols, the main tourist center of Formentera. The bus can be used more times during the day, within the schedules.
If you wish, you can travel the whole island with the "Green Route", paying a difference of 5€ to the driver.
FERRY+SCOOTER
FORMENTERA LINES offers the rental of a scooter, to enjoy Formentera at your own pace. Each scooter must be used by two people.
In case of a reservation with an odd number of people there will be a supplement of 10€ for the individual use of the scooter. You will be able to pick up the scooter at your arrival in Formentera, just behind the disembarkation area of the La Savina ferry station.
The motorbike will be a 50cc scooter approved for 2 persons. Consult last prices and conditions.
FERRY+BIKE
FORMENTERA LINES offers the rental of a touring bike, to enjoy the island in a more natural way, you can pick up the bike on arrival in Formentera, just behind the disembarkation area of the maritime station of La Savina.
The bicycle in Formentera will be a touring bike. In case of breakdown, assistance will be provided by the rental company. The rental contract will be formalised at the rental office, when picking up the bike. Consult last prices and conditions.
